Remote co-hosting for short-term rentals
You keep the home.
We take the phone.
Every guest message, every turnover, every price, handled on your own listing. Last year 1,869 turnovers and 5,821 guest nights ran through the system you'd be joining. Claude, our AI, answers in minutes; a person who hosts for a living decides every judgment call. You keep your cleaner, your listing and your evenings.
10% of net. $250 a month minimum. Nothing in a month with no check-ins.
No onboarding fee. Month to month. Not happy after the first month with your first home? You pay nothing.
"Where are the extra blankets? It's colder up here than we thought."
Answered 11:47 pm. You were asleep.
"Is Saturday a same-day turn? And did the last guests leave the grill cover out?"
Answered 9:12 am. You never saw it.
You didn't buy a rental to answer the Wi‑Fi question at dinner.
Doing it yourself works, until it doesn't. Guests message at 11 p.m. The cleaner needs a time. The calendar has the same weeknight rate it had in March. Add a second rental and it all doubles.
Most owners who call us aren't unhappy with their home. They're tired of being the help desk for it.
Two people text you about your rental. We answer both.
Guests and your cleaner. Between them, that's nearly every message a rental sends you. From the day we start, they go to us.
Guests
Every guest message answered in under 5 minutes on average, around the clock.
Before the stay, during it, after it. The Wi-Fi password, the early check-in, the hot tub at 2 a.m. You never answer another guest message unless you want to.
Every guest also gets a planning guide and stay guide built for your home and kept current, so most questions never get asked.
Airbnb tracks how fast hosts reply and ranks listings on it. Fast replies are good for your placement, not just your sleep.
Your cleaner
Keep your cleaner. Lose the scheduling.
Every turnover lands on their phone automatically, same-day turns flagged. We confirm they saw it. We answer their questions about the house. You don't think about turnovers anymore.
Across every home we run last year, not one turnover needed an owner to text a cleaner.
If your cleaner can't make a turnover, you hear from us right away. Finding the backup is still yours. It's the one thing we can't do from a phone.
Who's reading the messages
An expert on your home reads every message the moment it lands.
Claude, our AI, does the first read. It knows your house, knows hospitality from thousands of stays, and knows what's happening there today. A person who hosts for a living sits above it, and you above both.
- Most messages
Answered in under 5 minutes.
You never hear about them.
- Needs a judgment call
A person on our team decides.
A refund, a complaint, anything outside your rules.
- Urgent at the house. Rare.
Your local contact hears right away.
Then a short ladder, up to a call from us.
2:10 pmGuest"Any chance we can get in before 4?"
2:12 pmClaude, as you"The cleaning team is still at the house, so not quite yet. I'll message you the moment it's ready."
3:05 pmCleaner marks the job done.
3:06 pmClaude, as you"The home is ready, you're welcome to check in now."
Two guest messages, both answered. You never saw either.
Claude answers as the host because it knows your home, and what's happening there right now, well enough to say so with confidence. Guests see your name, and a reply that sounds like you.
9:40 pmGuest"The hot tub is barely warm. Kind of a letdown."
9:43 pmClaude, as you"I'm sorry, that's not the evening you planned. Two quick things to check: the cover is fully off, and the panel is set to 102. It takes about 20 minutes to climb. I'm here if it doesn't."
9:44 pmClaude flags it for a person. A VCoHost host decides the gesture: a note under your name and a credit, inside the limit you set.
10:20 pmGuest"It's heating now. Thank you, that was fast."
A complaint that ended as a five-star stay. One line on your statement.
The first reply is the host's voice, right away. The gesture is a person's call, made by someone who hosts for a living.
The rest of the guest side, handled.
Prices that follow the market.
Not one rate for weeknights and one for weekends all year. We run your rates through revenue software and manage them every day.
Door codes, handled.
Have a smart lock? We connect to it. Each guest gets their own code, created before arrival and gone after checkout.
We only call when something needs you.
If a guest reports a problem, you or your local contact hear right away, so it's fixed before the next check-in. That's rare. Most months you won't hear from us at all. How the ladder works →
Hot water out. Can your contact check today?A listing tune-up when you start.
We check your Airbnb listing against your market and tell you exactly what to fix: title, photos, description, amenities.
What your home needs, when it needs it.
Best practices for a five-star stay, what prevents problems, and reminders through the year, down to the smoke alarm batteries.
Airbnb and Vrbo, run as one.
Only on Airbnb? Add Vrbo and we'll connect it. One calendar, prices kept in step on both, every guest answered on both. No double bookings, no second inbox.
We never step foot in your home. That's the point.
We don't hire your cleaner, find your photographer or find you a plumber. We'll tell you how and where to look. Your home stays your home.
You already have the two people who matter: a cleaner, and someone nearby. We're the rest. VCoHost is a fit if you have one to three rentals on Airbnb or Vrbo, a cleaner you trust, and someone who can get to the house if it ever comes to that. The full list →
Want someone on site? That's full-service management, and our sister company Sans Souci Hospitality does exactly that.
Your listing stays yours.
We work as a co-host on your Airbnb and Vrbo listings. Your reviews, your history, your account.
Your money goes to you.
Airbnb pays you directly. Vrbo pays you through our software's processor, a day after check-in, less 3.9%. We never hold your payouts.
Your cleaner stays your cleaner.
No new vendor network to learn. Want their pay handled too? We can pay them per job, the day after each clean, from your own account. How that works →
Leaving is easy.
Remove us as co-host and you're back in full control.
This isn't a new idea we're testing on your home.
For the past year, VCoHost has run the back end for Sans Souci Hospitality, our full-service management company. Every guest message, guide, price and turnover for those homes runs through the same system you'd be joining.
We run on Hospitable, PriceLabs and Stripe, with Claude reading the messages: the same tools the best full-service companies use, with a person above them.
Average guest rating across 1,400+ reviews of the homes we run.
Homes running on this system today, from Boston to Baja.
Hosting, our own homes first, then other people's.
Turnovers scheduled last year. Not one needed an owner to text a cleaner.
Every message read the moment it lands, day and night.
"I don't see the guest messages anymore. If something needs me, they text my dad first, then me. That's maybe once a month, and I keep earning."
Ethan, Boston

We take the phone
Who's answering your guests.
VCoHost is run by Chad DuPont from Saugatuck, Michigan. Chad and his husband David have hosted guests for 4 years, first their own homes, then other people's.
Their full-service company, Sans Souci Hospitality, now runs about 35 homes, and every guest message, guide, price and turnover for those homes goes through the same system VCoHost owners join. VCoHost exists because owners outside Saugatuck kept asking for the phone part without the on-site part. So that's what it is.
We co-host anywhere in the US. The homes we run today are in Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, California and Mexico, and the system doesn't care where yours is.
The fastest way to reach us is email: [email protected].
Get off the phone this month.
Tell us about your home. If it's a fit, we'll walk you through the rest on a short call. If you're not happy after the first month with your first home, you pay nothing and we remove ourselves as co-host.
